چکیده
The aims of the present study are to examine in-vitro antifungal activity crude extracts Sudanese medicinal plants against two fungal species in order verify their possible inhibitory and identify bioactive compounds responsible for observed activity. Minimum concentration (MIC) phytochemical screening were investigated most active detect group secondary metabolites. Agar diffusion method was used test sensitivity. Chloroform, methanol aqueous a total number 23 belonging 19 genera 17 families Saccharomyces cerevisiae Candida albicans. Among them, seven plant showed efficacy at least one cultures, different exhibited well marked bark methanolic extract Terminalia arjuna (Combretaceae), gave lowest minimum value (4.25 μg/ml) C. albicans, whereas stem Anogeissus schimperi MIC (0.18 S. cerevisiae.
